Join Monticello Community Education on this fun trip! You will ride in style in a comfortable couch bus to beautiful Austin.

7:30 a.m. Leave Eastview Elementary, 9375 Fenning Ave. No., Monticello. Load in parking lot.

10:00 a.m. Arrive in downtown Austin, MN to visit the new SPAM® Museum - reopening in the spring of 2016. The museum features audios, videos and displays depicting the rich history of Hormel Food. The self guided tour is interactive, educational and fun for all ages. The SPAM® Museum gift store has collectible memorabilia and SPAM® products, even the hard-to-find varieties. 

11:30 a.m. Leave Spam Museum. 11:45 a.m. Arrive for lunch in the Hormel House Dining Facility. 

Sample Menu: Grilled Chicken Breast Served on a Bed of Wild Rice Blend, House Salad with Parmesan Peppercorn Dressing, Dinner Roll, Beverage, Small Dessert. 

1:00 p.m. Tour the historic Hormel Home. It is the stately home of George A. and Lillian Hormel from 1901 to 1927. Stained glass windows and leaded glass beautifully accent the decorative woodwork in this six-bedroom home. Donated to the YWCA in 1927.

2:00 p.m. Leave Austin, MN 2:45 p.m. Arrive in Owatonna to shop at the Russell Stover Candy Store. Purchase specialties candies and ice cream treats (on own). 

3:15 p.m. Leave Owatonna. 

5:00 p.m. Estimated return time to St. Michael. 

5:15 p.m. Estimated return time to Monticello. 

5:45 p.m. Estimated return time to Clearwater.
