  • Koa Uhane Taekwondo Beginners grade 1+

    Koa Uhane Tae Kwon Do offers, through Monticello Community Education, training in the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. The classes provide a comprehensive focus for students to learn Tae Kwon Do and other practical self-defense skills. The training is designed to foster increased hand-foot coordination, agility, flexibility, and provide cardiovascular exercise in a safe environment. Students will also work on their self-discipline, self-control, confidence as well as their ability to focus and concentrate in a positive setting. Classes are instructed by 5th degree Black Belt Master Christian Bagwell, who has over 30 years’ experience in martial arts and 20 years teaching under a 9th degree Black Belt Grand Master.     Pool, Pizza & Movie - Grades 1-5Come enjoy a night out with friends!  First, a long swim in the pool including water games and open swim, followed by pizza in the commons.  After the pizza you are off to the board room for a movie.  Beverages will be provided.  All movies are rated G or PG.  Parents, please drop your kids off at the pool and pick up in the board room.Preregistration is preferred.  If space is available, drop ins are $15 per student.

    River City Extreme Bowling and Laser Tag Trip-Gr. K-5Have fun on this Early Dismissal Day youth trip!  Join us for an afternoon at River City Extreme in Monticello.  We will first bowl for an hour and then play unlimited laser tag and arcade games for 1 hour!!  Pizza will be served as well!  Transportation will be provided for students from each elementary school (at the doors nearest the office) to the bowling alley.  Parents will need to pick up their child promptly from the bowling alley (behind movie theater) at 3:00pm!  Please pre-register and pay at least three days prior to the class.  Includes:  bowling, shoe rental, laser tag, unlimited arcade games, transportation, beverage and pizza.

  • Six-Time Powder Ridge Ski Program–Gr. 6-12

    Six-Time Powder Ridge Ski Program–Gr. 6-12 Monticello Community Education will be offering the Powder Ridge Ski Program again this year for grades 6-12. Buses will leave the middle and high schools immediately after school (2:30 p.m. middle school; 2:45 p.m. high school) with return time at approximately 9 p.m. to the high school. We need 25 students to sign up by the deadline in order to get group rates. Maximum is 45 for the first bus, if we get 60 registration's we will get a second bus. By registering for this trip you are agreeing to the behavior contract attached to the online registration.  Also during registration, insurance company, policy number, and an emergency contact other that a parent is required.  Students using their own snowboards must have metal edges and a retaining strap. One optional bonus night is included on Feb. 18, but you need to provide your own transportation and supervision for that evening. In addition, each participant will also receive a one-time discount bonus voucher good for up to 4 tickets at $7 each and 4 equipment rentals at $7 each (ski or snow-board). This voucher may be used one time any evening (3:30 p.m.-closing) through the end of the season. Registration deadline is Fri., Dec. 27. No re-funds after the first night of skiing, so check your schedule carefully before registering.
