Monticello High School Fishing Team Gr. 6-12RecreationPopularMonticello High School Fishing Team Gr. 6-12 This all-encompassing fishing program will balance classroom education and technique development with a boatload of time on the water in boats. Our focus with this team will include multi-species education as well as an option to focus on bass tournament fishing only. We'll also be focusing on boater safety/etiquette and utilizing proper equipment to aid in success all while teaching our young anglers how to become stewards of the industry. The Monticello Fishing Team is a fishing club that is associated with the school. We are NOT a MN state sanctioned sport. The team is run by volunteers who love fishing and enjoy helping kids learn about fishing and getting kids on the water. We will have an optional informational/registration night on Jan. 28th from 6:30-7:30 at the Monticello High Auditorium. Our season will start with in-classroom education on March 25th and run every other week until we are able to hit the water. Once we are able to get on the water, we will run every Thursday from 6:00-8:30 on various lakes around the community. Our season will conclude with an end of the year banquet on July 22nd. Dues for the 2021 season are $100. Registration deadline is March 5th so we can get jerseys ordered.
