Private Swimming Lessons-Ages Preschool-AdultWe are excited to offer private swimming lessons this fall. Social distancing guidelines will be followed with instructors teaching from the deck and demonstrating skills at a safe distance in the water. If a student is not an independent swimmer, a household member must assist in the water (this includes all swimmers in Parent/Child, Preschool, Level 1.) If you have 2 swimmers in the same household who are within one level of each other, you can indicate that on your registration form and only sign up for one spot. Semi-private lessons will be allowed with two similar-ability swimmers from one household. Lessons will run in one-month blocks of 4, (December 3 weeks) 25-minute private lessons on Saturdays. Parents are allowed into the pool area for fall private lessons. If your child or anyone in the household is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to class and contact the Community Education Office. Prior to coming to class, we request that participants use the restroom at home and shower at home. Showering at home ensures that any lotions or sprays, dirt or sweat be removed and not end up in our pool water. Thank you for following this important guideline. Swim suits must be worn into and out of the building because locker rooms will be closed. The family restroom and shower available on deck will be for emergencies only and will be disinfected by staff between after use. Procedures for entering and exiting: Enter using Door 15 (near Commons area) Participants will answer a COVID-19 health symptom questionnaire upon entering the pool area. Once complete and symptom check is passed, swimmers will participate in their lesson. Participants will have designated space on deck to leave their personal items. After the lesson is complete, families will immediately exit the pool area. Through all of this, social distancing guidelines from our staff will be followed to the best of our abilities and we expect the same from our patrons. Exit the parking lot using Door 15. Thank you for your help and understanding while we navigate these new times.
