About Aquatics

When registering for swimming lessons, please check your schedule carefully as we will be charging a $3 fee for each change or cancelation. Thank you!

PRICING: We are using a sliding scale model for program fees so our summer aquatics programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests. When families participate at the higher price levels, they help make the program more sustainable.

Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills-B5
Su Block 5: Aug 5-15

Prerequisite: Pass Preschool or age 6+ Helps participants feel comfortable in the water. Skills to be covered: enter and exit water; retrieve submerged objects; front and back glides and front and back float; alternating and simultaneous arm and leg actions on front and back; combined arm and leg actions on front and back; staying safe around aquatic environments. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. Level 4: Stroke Improvement-B5
Su Block 5: Aug 5-15

Develops confidence in the skills learned and improves other aquatic skills. Skills to be covered include: swim under water, feet first service dive, survival swimming, front crawl and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. Private Swimming Lessons-B2
Su Block 2: June 24-28

Summer swimming lessons is using a new price structure for 2024. We will not be offering families one free lesson We are using a sliding scale model for program fees so our summer aquatics programs can be financially sustainable and more equitable. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. By more clearly articulating our lower cost options, we have removed the barrier that some may have felt in making scholarship requests. When families participate at the higher price levels, they help make the program more sustainable. You may sign up for multiple sessions within the different blocks, please only do one slot per block. Space is limited. If you have 2 swimmers who are within one level of each other, you can indicate that on your registration form and only sign up for one spot. Semi-private lessons will be allowed with two similar-ability swimmers. Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills-EB
Early Bird: May 13-23

Givers participants success with fundamental skills. Skills to be covered: front, jellyfish and tuck floats, recover from a front and back float or glide to a vertical position, change direction of travel while swimming on front or back, tread water using arm and leg actions, combined arm and leg actions on front and back. Families are asked to pick the price that they are able to pay. Level 5: Stroke Refinement-B1
Su Block 1: June 10-21

Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes. Skills to be covered include: tuck and pike surface dives, front flip turn and backstroke flip turn while swimming, tread water, font and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly.
