Do you like to do projects and try food inspired by other countries? How would you like to tantalize your taste buds with your own bento box creation, design your own charcuterie board, make Brazilian candy, and put together Mexican fruit cups? You won't just fill your belly in this class! Do you love to learn about different places from around the world? In this group you will learn about places like Mexico, Japan, Brazil, and France! You will also create art and play games to deepen your understanding of these places such as make a mosaic, do origami, make string art on wood, and have a chili pepper race. If preparing food, doing art and playing games inspired by different countries from around the world sounds fun, then this class is for YOU! To top it off, you will get to research and write about a country YOU are interested in and learn about more countries from other students!
My name is Stacey Rosa and I teach challenge classes at Little Mountain Elementary in Monticello. Some groups I lead are STEM, writing group, reading groups, creative/critical thinking groups and challenge math. This year, I also taught phonics and helped to lead the student council at LME! I love reading, gardening, crafting, hiking and learning in general! I also enjoy traveling and playing board games with my family of 5! I love learning something new and I enjoy growing that love of learning with my students!
