Marrant! Divertido! 好玩! Spaß! That's how you say "Fun!" in many languages! This course will expose students to many different cultures including learning traditions, popular activities, entertainment, and most importantly food! Students will get to create/ sample food items that represent each culture. Don't miss out on a busy and exciting week "traveling" around the world!

Hello! My name is Summer Schmidt, and I am a current 1st Grade teacher at Big Woods Elementary in St. Michael. I am an avid traveler and absolutely love immersing myself into all cultures. I have a Spanish minor, therefore have so much to share with students! I participated in a Survivor challenge where I made it to the last challenge. Some even called me "Sumvivor". I love to stay busy, which we will be doing all week. When I am not teaching, I love to read, go on walks, and bake with my family.
