Stomp, stomp, stomp! Through the twisting, wind-swept labyrinth charges a powerful creature—half man, half bull—it’s a mighty Minotaur! Get ready for epic tales filled with legendary figures like Thor, Ra, Athena, and the majestic Pegasus! There are so many myths to explore. This class will include discovering myths from different cultures including Greek, Egyptian, and Norse mythology. Activities will include reading myths, doing a creative project with each type of myth and writing a myth. Some projects will be creating a mythical creature, making your own game, decorating pottery, making a dog tag or necklace, and making an Egyptian name tag. If you enjoy exciting stories and want to have fun creating a mythical creature out of model magic and decorating pottery while learning about myths - then this is the class for YOU!
My name is Stacey Rosa and I teach challenge classes at Little Mountain Elementary in Monticello. Some groups I lead are literature enrichment group and challenge math. I also teach phonics and help to lead the student council at LME! I love reading, gardening, crafting, hiking and learning in general! I also enjoy traveling and playing board games with my family of 5! I love learning something new and I enjoy growing that love of learning with my students!
