Come test your skills and resiliency with individual and team logic challenges. We will test out and discuss problem solving strategies for overcoming obstacles and developing a growth mindset. Be ready to try your hand at cryptography, take on syllogisms, elimination puzzles and math challenges. Attempt STEM challenges as a team, logically take on liars, and manipulate objects to test your visual and spatial skills. Come join me for a week of puzzling our way through brain perplexors!
My name is Brenna Lavalier-Kortenkamp(Mrs. Lava-kamp) and I am a 2nd grade teacher at Prairie View Elementary in the Elk River School District. I currently reside in Big Lake with my husband and three children. I attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education, Grades 1-8, with a minor in Broadfield Social Studies. I completed my Masters degree in Teaching and Learning from Saint Mary’s University. During my twenty years of teaching, I have taught second through fifth grades and spent a year as an intervention specialist. I also had the opportunity to coach the middle school math team for five years.
