Do you love puppets? Ever wondered what goes into making them? If so, here’s a great experience for you! During thisweek long master class you will design and fabricate your very own foam head, handpuppet.
We’ll find inspiration from a variety of sources, then get hands on as we go step by step together to construct your (“muppet-style”) puppet. You’ll start with a base pattern and transform it into whatever your imagination can dream up! Will your new puppet pal be a person…? Animal…? Monster…?
My name is Tammy, my students call me Ms. B. I am currently the STEAM teacher at Parkside Elementary. I have a BFA from Ringling College of Art & Design. I love to dabble in all things creative and often say, "I wear a lot of hats." I’m a mom, a freelance designer, homeschooler, photographer, home remodeler, stage manager, set painter, toy maker, prop fabricator. If I can get my hands dirty, wheels turning, and learn a new skill... you can bet I'm on board. And if I'm not hanging art at school, swirling paint or stitching with needle and thread, you're bound to find me getting my feet wet out on the lake in my kayak.
