This is for those students who already understand the basics of sign language and want to really learn some phrases and dive deeper into the language to use in conversations. We will use our new language to communicate in class, play games and understand the importance of using your facial expressions and body language to communicate.
My name is JoLynn Larson and I currently live in Clearwater. I am a teacher in a transition program(Ages 18-22) in St. Cloud. I love teaching and working with students as they learn new things. I have been using sign language for 30 years with my oldest daughter who was born deaf. Teaching others to use sign language to communicate is a passion of mine and introducing a new way for students to express themselves through the use of an alternative language is so rewarding for both myself and the students.
