Get ready to explore, strategize, and outthink the challenge! In this fast-paced, brain-powered scavenger hunt course, students collaborate to solve layered puzzles, decode complex clues, and uncover hidden connections within their environment. Learners sharpen critical thinking, logic, and teamwork skills as they analyze patterns, test strategies, and adapt in real time. By week’s end, students shift from solvers to designers—engineering their own original scavenger hunts that challenge peers through clever clues, creative problem-solving, and intentional design. This is exploration with purpose, puzzles with depth, and teamwork at its smartest.
Hi! My name is Ashley Wappel, and I am an intervention teacher at Pinewood Elementary in Monticello. I taught at a STEM school and was the Science teacher for our grade level, taught Kindergarten for six years, as well as teaching at a nature center for three years leading outdoor camps for various ages. I grew up in Ely, MN, and I spent A LOT of time outside! I am excited to teach with NWTA this summer and connect with so many students and their families.
