Do you love plants? Do you want to learn how to care for your very own plants? Then this class is for you! Get ready for a super fun adventure into the amazing world of plants, where you’ll become a plant expert and create your own potted plants to take home. Learn how to take care of your plants by giving them just the right amount of water, sunlight, and love. You’ll also discover when your plants need a little extra help to stay happy and healthy! You’ll even get to taste-test food that come from a garden and learn how plants help feed us every day! Get your hands dirty and plant your very own seeds. Watch them grow and turn into something beautiful over time! You’ll design your own succulent environment to take home and keep growing! By the end of this class, you’ll be a plant care expert with your very own plants to look after. We will even go on a nature walk to observe and sketch different plants. This is a hands-on, exciting way to learn all about plants—and have fun doing it! Are you ready to dig, plant, and grow with us? Let’s get started!
Hi! I’m Stacey Rosa, and I teach many groups, including challenge classes at Little Mountain Elementary in Monticello—where curiosity is encouraged and thinking hard is kind of the whole point. I lead literature enrichment and challenge math groups, teach phonics, and help run student council at LME (future leaders in the making!).
When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me with a good book, in the garden, crafting something messy-but-fun, hiking a trail, or learning something new just for fun. I also love traveling and playing board games with my family of five—where competition is friendly and good snacks are essential.
I’m passionate about learning new things and helping my students discover that learning can be exciting, challenging, and even a little fun (okay, a lot of fun!).
