  • Video Production for YouTube- Grades 3-6

    Learn how to create YouTube content! Shoot videos, edit sound, and create an online presence with YouTube. In the first half of camp, learn the tricks pro filmmakers use for better shots, lighting, and sound. You will also learn to use our film editing software in a class project. Then, in the second half of camp, students will work on a group unboxing or product review video. Edit your video, add transitions and special effects, and insert a soundtrack. Finally, share your finished video with the world. Bring a USB drive (at least 8 GB) to save your video on the last day.Students should have basic reading skills
  • Robotic Builders: Battlebots - Grades K-2

    Let the battles begin! Designed by the experts at MIT, LEGO® WeDo Robotics' unique system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Students may construct a catapult, ninja star, tank, battle axe, crossbow, and more in this camp! Students will be working in pairs. Class Location: Big Lake High School, Collaboration Center.   • Pokemania STEAM Adventure- Grades 1-4

    Work on a stop-motion animated Pokémon-themed film. Pick your favorite characters to star in your mini-movie. The possibilities are endless! Students will build Pokémon-inspired sets and props to create an animated game and stop-motion short. Students will also participate in other Pokémon-related STEAM activities. Bring a USB drive on the last day. Students should have basic reading skills.
  • Intro to 3D Printing & CAD - Grades 1-6

    This 3D printing camp takes students through the 3D printing process from start to finish. Students will design 3D objects using TinkerCAD and the 3D slicing program Cura to bring their creations to life. From industrial design and manufacturing to software and hardware engineering, the 3D printing industry is booming. This course is an excellent introduction to 3D printing and is ideal for students who like to draw, design, imagine, and see their creations come to life. Printing and material fees are included. Students will get to bring home two of their 3D creations.Students should have basic reading skills. Class Location: Big Lake High School, Collaboration Center.
