    3 Day Horse Day Camp-Ages 6-17

    Boulder Pointe Equestrian 3 DAY LONG DAY CAMP (Ages 6-15) TIME: PARENT Drop-off is at 9am and PARENT pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. WHAT TO EXPECT: Experience a mini-week long camp! Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn! Life in the barn will include activities such as; daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, groom and care for the horses (including bathing) and feed them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are broken into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Please note that riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena, no trails and consist of learning to how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? ● Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. ● No flip flops. ● Sunscreen/hat/bug spray ● Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch ● Treats for the horses if you want ● Helmets are provided.   • Battle Drones- Grades 3-8

    Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. The best drone pilots and launchers will emerge victorious! Students can choose to bring their drone home for an additional cost (~$100 value) Class Location: Big Lake High School, Collaboration Center.     In this class you will explore and create collage art! We will use colorful paper and fabric cutouts, buttons, string and more to assemble a one-of-a-kind piece of art!   • Common App Boot Camp for Rising Seniors

    Seniors planning to apply to multiple colleges, especially private or selective schools, will likely use the Common App. This 2-hour workshop offers hands-on support to help you set up your Common App account, tackle your personal statement, and navigate key sections of the application. By the end of the session, you’ll have made significant progress on your college application and feel confident in the decisions you’re making. Students should bring a laptop to set up their Common App accounts during the session. Can't attend the session? Want your parent to join too? All registered students, whether present or not, will receive a recorded version of the workshop within 5 days of the session. Target Audience: Rising Seniors who intend to apply to multiple colleges. Instructor: Shelly Hughes is a licensed School Counselor in Minnesota with a master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the University of Minnesota. With over 25 years of experience, Shelly has worked in higher education, private, and secondary settings, offering guidance on academic, college, and career planning. As a mother of three teens/young adults, she brings both a parent's and educator's perspective to navigating the high school and college years.

    Drivers Education Classes and Behind the Wheel Training

    This is an advertisement only! Register directly with Wreck-Less Driving School This complete Drivers Education program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel training. Behind-the-wheel instruction will be scheduled individually and directly with Wreck-Less Driving Academy. Students must attend all 30 hours. Any missed classes must be made up in future sessions (at any Wreck-Less location). Students will receive a completion certificate once all 30 hours are complete. Eligible Students must be 14 1/2 years old before the first day of class. You will receive a welcome email with additional registration instructions from Wreck-Less 10 days before class begins. Contact wreck-less if you do not get the email. For Online Classes: Students MUST have the ability to print curriculum before class begins and the technology to attend class via Zoom with a camera and microphone.     Horseback Riding Day Camp, Ages 6-15

    Boulder Pointe Equestrian Camps are on rain or shine! There is an outdoor and indoor arena. Proper attire includes a sneaker or boot (closed toe with a heel), long pants and layers depending on the weather. Bug spray, sunscreen, nut-free snacks and a water bottle are also recommended. Please bring a nut-free bagged lunch and plenty of fluids to drink. ASTM/SEI certified helmets are provided. Signed waivers are required before riding. Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas for 40min-50min (no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders!     Join the inaugural Monticello Community Band for a week of music making! We will rehearse each morning for an hour and a half and finish the week with an evening outdoor concert (rain site MMS Auditorium). Musicians of all ages and ability levels are welcome!     Boulder Pointe Equestrian Enjoy the excitement of horseback riding camp! Come ride and learn about horses. Lessons include learning how to work with horse and learn balance and control in the saddle. In addition, campers get to learn how to groom, tack-up, lead and do in-hand work with horses. In addition, students will do an art project and have an opportunity to make horse treats to feed their new friends. Stations are split into 15 minute intervals to keep everyone engaged. Parents have the opportunity to lead their child on the horse and take photographs as they go. :) PARENT/GUARDIAN: This 2-hour camp is designed for parent/guardian participation.     In RC Wars, teams of students will build their own Remote Control vehicles to race and battle against other teams. Students will need to design their vehicles to not only be faster and stronger than other teams’ creations, but also better than purchased RC Cars and Drones! RC Wars will feature land and air races, obstacle courses and more as students learn mechanical and electrical building skills in an energetic and exciting environment.
