Shinrin Yoku Of MonticelloRecreationShinrin-Yoku is the practice of immersing our senses in nature with the intention of enhancing our well-being. It is a mindful practice in which you experience the forest through all five senses. You will be lead through a series of connective invitations that slow you down, awakens your senses, opening up your awareness to having a beautiful healing connection to nature. This is not just a walk in the park, it is a forest therapy experience thoughtfully designed with you in mind. We also have a chance to share our thoughts between each of the activities and we end our forest bathing with a special tea ceremony, to embody our experience and give gratitude to the forest. The experience is gentle and accessible to almost anyone at any fitness level. Walks are held in Bertram Park. Class is best suited to ages 18 and up.
