Instructor Bio -
Hello, my name is Adyson Petty! I'm a 4 year starter (Shortstop, 2nd, 3rd) for my softball team at Becker. I play softball year round for Catalyst and are currently on their national 18U team. My goal with these lessons is to not only teach younger girls about softball, but share my love for the sport. As a slap hitter, I also want to increase the number of slappers around the area because they are very rare. A little bit more about my accomplishments is that I have been Captain x2, All-Conference x2 and All-State HM.
Class Description - At these lessons, I will be doing high intensity drills. Each drill will have a purpose to make the girls better. Throughout the lessons, I will be showing these girls how to hit some bombs, slap, and play any position in the field. Throughout the lessons, I will be focusing on different aspects of fielding, such as one-hops, double plays, and diving. I will also be helping them learn how to slap, as slapping is a technique where you run at the same time as you hit the ball on the left side, so you can run to the base faster and most of the time beat it out. But most importantly, I want the girls to have fun and learn to love the sport as much as I do.
